Sigma Brush Spa - Brush Cleaning Glove

The already (in)famous Sigma Spa™ Brush Cleaning Glove :) It hasn't been out long and already it's caused quite a stir. I got mine a few days ago and have used it once to clean all my brushes and contrary to what seem to be popular opinion I actually really like it :)

I have a lot of brushes, mostly because I'm really lazy and hate cleaning them. My hands are also not fond of being in contact with water for long (I always wear gloves when doing the dishes and overall cleaning), so this glove seemed like the perfect solution for me. I managed to clean all my 40+ brushes and my hands were as good as new afterwards...almost a priceless feat in my world ;) I also have to say that my brushes seem a lot cleaner, which might be because water was no longer an issue, so I could really get in there and clean them properly. I also found that I used a lot less soap as it seem to lather up better on the glove, than when just using my (bare)hand.

Is $36 a lot of money for a glove, that looks like an oven glove and whose sole purpose is to clean your make-up brushes? Possibly, but luckily that is for each of us to decide :) As price seems to be the biggest "issue" people have with the glove, I say try to find a "dupe". I for one am pretty happy with my new glove as it has made brush cleaning something I hate a little less now :)

New Sigma brushes

Yesterday I received my new Performance Eyes kit from Sigma. The kit includes 8 different eye brushes: eye liner, tightline liner, waterline liner, smudge, blending, shader inner corner, shader crease and shader lid. (see more on Sigmas website). I also got a regular shader (E55) and they included a little test from their new brow kit.
Most of the brushes I use are from Sigma as I think they are good quality brushes for a fair price. You can find their brushes on some local websites, but their selection tend to be sparse and even if Sigma ships from the US it took less than a week for my order to arrive.

What's in my (gym) make up bag

3 times a week I take a morning class at the local gym, which means that I have to haul all my make up with me, so I thought I would do a little "What's in my make up bag" post.

I use my grey/black Marimekko bag, that is a good size for "traveling".

For my face I use Tromborg Mineral foundation in Vanilla, which I apply with a kabuki brush from Sigma, Garnier's anti-dark circles for under the eyes and then finally the Urban Decay Primer Potion (original)

I use Calvin Klein eye shadow in vanilla cream (as a highlight), my favourite Wet n' Wild trio Walking on Eggshells, Stila eye shadow in Espresso for the outer coner and for my brows and then Tromborg blush in Peach

Lastly I use the Jemma Kidd lipstick in Peach, Benefit mascara Bad gal in Deep Brown, Smashbox liquid liner in Dark Brown, Smashbox eye beam brightner and MAC pencil in Coffee

Here are the brushes I used, most are from Sigma, one is from Elf and the red one is from DK brand Nilens Jord

And yes, that all fits into the bag...a little snug perhaps, but as long as it can still zip up it's all good :)
